Color-Enhanced Black Mulch

Color-enhanced mulch may be used in any landscape setting; it is 100% safe for people, pets, and the environment. Color-enhanced mulch may leave a temporary stain on driveways, we recommend laying out a tarp for mulch to be dumped on. Handle and install color-enhanced mulch at least 24-48 hours BEFORE rain is expected. Cover mulch with a tarp if rain is expected.

Color-Enhanced Mulch Maintenance: In order for mulch colorant to fully bond to the surface of wood fiber and prevent “Spring Wash” it needs a critical drying time of 24-72 hours (meaning no rain in the forecast and your sprinkler system turned off). This timeframe is based on when the material is INSTALLED, not when it is produced. If the color fades, you can usually turn the mulch over with a rake to bring the color back up. Once the colorant sets, the mulch will maintain its color for a full season. The colorant will stain concrete! You can wash thoroughly with “Simple Green” which can be found at most hardware stores.
